Our Staff 7 Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree at Smith College, majoring in biology,  and then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, taking a special interest in dermatology and plastic surgery. Having always had a major interest in aesthetics and an ultimate goal of owning her own business, Jennifer worked in multiple Maryland & Northern Va medical spas before making TLC Medispa & Skinstore in McLean her own. Jennifer’s background has given her an extensive knowledge of how the body works and therefore how to keep it in its healthiest and most beautiful condition.

Our Staff 8After Katherine completed her business AA at Montgomery College she felt something was missing. At the same time she was also struggling with skin issues and decided to learn about the anatomy of skin. This is when she fell in love with the science behind skin care and decided to become an esthetician. During her training at the Aveda Institute she learned how to give people their confidence back by helping them heal their skin concerns. She was also introduced to energy healing and has found ways to incorporate it into her treatments, if allowed by the client. She continued her training, obtaining her master esthetics license through Esthetic Institute in Vienna, VA and a few months later became a laser technician where she was exposed to the more medical side of aesthetics. She now has a great passion for medical aesthetics and on her way to becoming a registered nurse.

Our Staff 9Beth started out simply by giving basic massages to help both of her parents who were dealing with chronic back pain! The satisfaction she felt from helping to alleviate their pain led her to want to learn more and she subsequently enrolled in  Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage and received her license in  April 2016. At NVSTM Beth focused on Swedish, Medical (condition specific), and Deep Tissue massage as well as some other less common modalities including chair massage, cupping, hot stone, and reflexology. Always wanting to enhance her abilities, she recently received special additional training in pediatric massage in Colorado. Beth has been with TLC since November 2016.
